From product design, FMEA, VA/VE review to mass production and on-going refinement, ABLE's technical support team remains engaged throughout the product life cycle. We accept customer design data from all common formats - Pro-Engineer, Solidworks, CATIA, Autocad, 3D IGES/STEP/STL, 2D DWG/DXF/PDF - even a hand sketch. Our team can provide the final design for manufacture, prototypes, and production in-house built tooling, molds and fixtures.

ABLE has integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Materials Resource Planning (MRP) tools to support the large scope and Bill of Materials typically found in many of the products we manufacture. Our purchasing and procurement specialists work closely with our global supplier base, including international travel to maintain consistent supplier performance and good working relations.

Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE)

Our cross functional teams work with customers and suppliers to optimize the product program for design, tooling, supply chain, production and delivery for common goals:

We apply VA/VE methods to both New Product and select Existing Product programs.

Lean Manufacturing & Just In Time (JIT)

The challenge of meeting cost, quality and delivery goals have moved ABLE to implement LEAN manufacturing across its entire operations at Plant 1, 2 and 3. Numerous line-side and supplier initiatives continue to be undertaken by our operations and engineering teams.

ABLE has implemented robotics and automation to improve productivity, quality and safety for key repetitive operations. We utilize market leading GE FANUC robotics for composite lamination, numerous computer controlled resin mix dispensers, fiberglass dispensers and computer controlled GRACO paint mix and dispense systems.

Additionally, we have implemented numerous collector systems to reduce the levels of airborne particulate matter inherent to the manufacture of composite, and finish paint or gel coat products.

The international standard ISO 9001:2008 is maintained at all ABLE Plant sites. Our quality team includes Six Sigma Black and Green Belt certified specialists. ABLE has invested in 3D Coordinate Measuring Machines capable of both touch type and laser scanning backed by sophisticated surfacing and inspection software that allows our quality team to efficiently and accurately monitor the dimensional accuracy of our finish work product, molds, tooling and fixtures.
